One Price Dry Cleaning on the map
I've been taking my clothes to this cleaners for the past 6 months and quite frankly didn't have any problems until March 6. I dropped off my clothes, on March 1, approximately 30 pieces, as I had been putting off taking my clothes to the cleaners. I was told that they would be available for pick up on Saturday, March 4. I returned on Monday, March 6 to pick them up to be told that 'HE' had come to pick them up. It's bad enough that I didn't send any 'HE' to pick up my clothes but was informed that they were given to this 'HE' without a ticket. Here it is March 20 and I still don't have my clothes. I gave an estimate of the cost of my clothes to the employee and the owner and have yet to receive payment. I just recently received credit for my dry cleaning on March 20 but that was after I requested and then was told I needed to come into the establishment to make it happen. I guess it didn’t matter that I had already been to the establishment at least 3 or 4 times trying to get a status of my clothes. The owner, is handling this horribly as I finally spoke with him on Friday, March 17 after making my 3 or 4th trip to the cleaners. Keep in mind it's been weeks and he hasn't even given me the common courtesy of calling me. Nonetheless, when I went in on Friday, the Manager called the owner's office and put him on the phone. And sadly enough, all he is doing is simply waiting around hoping and praying that the other customer, who has admitted to having my clothes, return them. At this point, isn't that theft? I am so terribly disappointed with this business and I will tell anyone that will listen not to take your clothes there because if they do loose them, it's going to take an act of God to get compensated accordingly.
Jeff focuses on customer service. He treats customers with respect. I highly recommend this family owned and small business.
Best dry cleaners around! Perfect customer service and reliable dry cleaning.
This place is great, just visited for the first time - $1.75 for shirts, $3.65 for everything else including suit jackets! They also have next day rush available which was very convenient for me!
Family owned small business! Great Service always!
The Owner Jeff gives 100% to serving his customers. Rarely will you find a dry cleaners that treats your clothes the way you would treat them. This is the place for old fashioned, no short cuts, dry cleaning.
I've been here a few times, and as far as dry cleaners go, it's nothing special. People go to dry cleaners because they are either cheap or convenient, so they're a dime a dozen. I can't tell the difference between shirts cleaned at one place or another. Having said that, this place leaves me a bit unsettled when I've been there in the past. Never walked in and had someone greet me in a friendly, professional way. Usually it seems like I'm tearing someone away from something more important. This is also the only dry cleaner I've been to where they ask you to pay up front --- I know that seems weird, but every other place in Steele Creek, South Park, University area and Ballantyne I've been to asks for payment after they've delivered your clothes to you. One really frustrating thing about this place - other than getting a weird feeling like I'm not wanted when I go in there - is this place doesn't put it's name or phone number on the receipt. The first time I went there, I didn't go back to get my stuff until about a week later. I checked my receipt for a phone number so I could call to make sure they weren't going to be closed when I got there to get my shirts. At the time I was taking some of my cleaning to a couple places, depending on my errands for that week and where I was going to be. No number. No business name. Nothing to distinguish this receipt from any other dry cleaner in the area, so I was puzzled for a little while --- where the heck did I drop off my cleaning? Kind of weird, but more than anything just pretty inconvenient. I have hundreds of names and phone numbers in my phone, but I didn't have this one in my address book yet, and you might think that might be a good piece of information to have on there.
You know the old adage, "if you don't ask, you 'll never know". Well in my case I brought in nearly $60 worth of dry cleaning this morning. I asked if they had one of their frequent coupons circulating, to which the attendant replied "No". I then ask for at least a show of loyalty by allowing to get one item comped. She said "No" again. I asked to speak to the owners, whom I thought were Jeff and Katie. She said "No" again and that they did not own the place anymore. I felt like I had a very good relationship with this previous owner/couple and asked if I could speak to one of them. She said "No" again. Most people who know me well, know that I am usually a very good negotiator. Struck out here though, and then on top of it all she asked me to leave and not come back. I WAS a very loyal fan of Jeff, Katie, and One Price. Now I am an ex-customer due to this rude and totally unprofessional woman. Must have caught her on a bad day, she is usually pretty nice. Very sad that they lose my business over $3.50, but as she so eloquently put it, "that's the rules and right now I'm the boss".
Ruined a high end name brand comforter. It was bad enough that it was ruined, she would not own up to it. I offered her three choices that I thought was fair. A..Replace it. B. Repair it ! Sew up the holes that weren't in it when I dropped it off. C. Reimburse me the cost to replace it AND the dry cleaning fee. She did none of the above. I then told her I had come on a recommendation, and that I would go back to the networking group, and report back her "attitude", and she said GO AHEAD! Very DUMB Girl, Not Professional, and should NOT be in business. (By the way, others in the group also had problems at this establishment.)
This place has been in steady decline over the past two years to the point where I have taken my business elsewhere. Zero customer consideration with they break buttons. Their attention to quality needs huge improvement. I hope the owner/franchiser takes the time to read this review and consider some changes......... I have taken my shirts there almost since they opened several years ago. But lately they have turned into a button breaking machine. And when you ask for light starch there are frequent blobs of white residue on the shirt. Replacing buttons should be standard business practice if you wish to hold on to good customers. I took a shirt back with their tag still on it and on the hanger to have them replace the button. I got rudeness and accused me of breaking the button myself. Almost new shirt; 3 times through their gauntlet.
