It's Cleaning Time on the map
We hired It’s Cleaning Time. I called and spoke with Regina who asked a few questions. She gave me a 4-hour initial cleaning quote. We scheduled the service and the business day before they sent a text to confirm the service appointment. I called to ask a couple of follow up questions, the owner answered and she was very friendly. She mentioned that the two ladies that would be at the house did not speak very much English and that if there were any issues with communication we could call her to assist us. I put up signs in both Spanish & English that said either “Don’t Clean” or “Please Clean” and had Spanish/English phrases ahead of time to assist with communication. My counters and floors were cleared and any clutter was removed from the table tops before they arrived. The crew arrived on time and got to work. After 25 minutes into the service I received a text message that they would need 5.5 hours to complete my home and the cost would be an additional $100 before tax. I explained that was more than I was originally thinking and would compromise with paying $57.50 more for the 5.5 hours since that was not the original quote. We both agreed to wait and see what could be done in 4 hours. About 3 hours into the service a supervisor came to the house to check on their work and see if I had any questions. He dusted the high ceilings and inspected the work. He explained the issues of dust settling within 24 hours after the first service. The crew worked hard and quickly. I never saw them taking breaks or slow down the entire time. At 4-hours they still needed to finish the floors so I did authorize an extra half hour. At exactly 4.5 hours the crew was mopping right behind themselves out the door and had all their stuff outside to be loaded into their vehicle. About 45 minutes after the crew left I received a text message from the office with a picture of a 14.5 OZ scented candle that the crew had broken during their cleaning. They asked how they could resolve the situation. I hadn’t noticed it yet and appreciated the crew letting their office know so they could contact me. I provided proof of value for the candle and we both agreed that discounting the service for the cost of replacing and shipping a new one would be an acceptable resolution. They handled the situation professionally and promptly. My first recommendation for them is to conduct in home quotes that would be guaranteed even if they go over the quoted time. The responsibility should be on the vendor to give an accurate quote especially when the difference could potentially be in the $100 range. The quote should be given in full with taxes, fees, etc. up front with no surprises. We took a long time to schedule our very first cleaning service, and I would like to continue service, however that can be difficult to plan for when taking budget into consideration. Secondly, the cleaning crew should have their phones on silent during service. Granted, I was working from home and most people are not home when they are cleaning the home. However, I would get a text message from the cleaning office, message with them back and forth then the cleaners would get a text message from what I assume was the cleaning office after my conversation was completed. That would not be an issue all the time, but they should be aware when the customer is home during service. Thirdly, I wonder if after the first initial cleaning because of the issues with dust settling after 24 hours if they could offer a 45-minute dust only service for an additional $35 or something to use within 72 hours. I think that would be a very nice touch to add to their initial cleaning or deep cleaning packages and separate them from other companies. That would be very beneficial for new customers like myself. Overall, the house looks great!
Not sure why this got so many rave reviews. We ordered a deep clean for 6 working hours but ended up getting worse that what I could accomplish in less than 2 hours myself. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. We communicated beforehand clearly on which rooms need cleaning. Two workers who do not speak English at all came over, no communication, went straight to wrong rooms and started mopping. They are mostly just mopping and dusting, not paying attention to any other stuff. Some gunk just required a simple scrape / scrub to come off, but they did not even have scrapers/scrubbers, just a couple of rugs. Wood flooring was just mopped by hand carelessly, leaving swirl/mop watermarks everywhere. Windows were missed. Tiles still had gunks on them (apparently scraping/scrubing is not what they do according to their supervisor). Oven still has food residue inside. Dishwasher was not cleaned at all. Overall a very unhappy experience. Lessons learned, do not simply believe reviews. Ask them what people are doing the cleaning, what equipment do they have, and what they can guarantee done per working-hour.
First of all, It's Cleaning Time answered the very first time I called. Other cleaning services seem to have a discouraging booking process. Secondly, this company has reasonable prices and does not enforce any annoying contracts such as minimum hours of cleaning booked nor do they force multiple bookings. The home areas that I requested over the phone were fully known to the team that arrived. The team came prepared with all supplies. The quality of the work was 4.5 out of 5 stars. I am only holding off on 5 stars because I think 5/5 stars for cleaning means something very specific. I would GLADLY book this company again! My only suggestion is that the cleaners wear more protective gear (masks when cleaning ovens etc.). Breathing such fumes should be avoided as much as possible.
First-rate customer service! I contacted many companies for quotes and knew right away that I was dealing with professionals here when they emailed me a prompt estimate, service options, and very clear pricing. The ladies who came out to clean didn't speak much English but did an excellent job. Would definitely recommend It's Cleaning Time!
Professional and thorough. I have a big house and had just the first level deep cleaned (1800+ sq.feet) It took 5 hours, but every surface, floor, mini-blind, baseboard, ceiling fan, mirror, sink, tub, shower, corner, was cleaned. I have very dark hardwood floors and they looked brand new (and better than I have ever been able to clean them!). I feel the price is justified with how clean my house was. I plan to use them regularly as well as a deep clean upstairs. The ladies were polite and respectful. I have met the owner and she is delightful!
