Elite Cleaning Squad on the map
We have tried a few companies that haven't lived up to what they promised. Houston Cleaning Squad was the exception. While they were a few minutes late (understandable) they did what they said they would do and what/how we asked them to do and they went above and beyond that. Previous cleaning companies would only vacuum our ceramic tile floor - which doesn't pick up all the dirt -- in fact with our previous cleaning company, they missed an obvious piece of dirt. When we pointed it out that they need to sweep with a broom, they argued and the next day said they didn't want our business (I gave them an F here on Angie's List). Houston Cleaning Squad said they would sweep with a broom and they did! In fact, I was doing laundry while they we cleaning, they started folding the laundry without being asked! They even folded our king sheets which I always have trouble with! We are on their bi-weekly schedule and hope things continue to do well. As long as they continue to give great service, we will continue to be their customer.
We chose to use Elite Cleaning Squad’s services after they convinced us that their equipment will provide better results than other mobile services. Dante (owner) seemed very professional, and we trusted his word that he “Stands behind his work”. It was presented to us that he and his equipment would bring the tile and grout of our 2.5yr old house to appear that it would be new again. We hired him to clean and seal our 2000 sq/ft of tile. Elite’s prices was nearly triple another quote that we received, $1387 for the service. Dante mentioned that if we paid with cash, the service would be $1300, and take about 4 to 4.5hours. After about two weeks of hesitation, we decided to schedule the appointment for the service. Dante and another employee were only about an hour late for the appointment, but that was not a problem for us. After about 3 hours’ time, they were done, to my surprise. Still very professional, he gave us the rules of not to walk on the floors for several hours, and wait a week to mop. Dante mentioned there would be a haze for about 14 days, and we could understand that since they were sealing the grout. Once Dante collected the $1300 cash, he stopped writing the invoice for us, and gratefully accepted the money. After 4 weeks had passed since the time of service. Our few problem spots that we wanted addressed are still problems, but just a little lighter, and now sealed into the grout. In addition, the sealer was applied so heavy all over the floors that now we have semi-glossy spots where the sealant puddled, textured haze throughout the house, not to mention that some areas have become apparent that no sealer was applied. We also have oxidation marks on or stainless appliances since they failed to tape anything off. In addition, our moldings are marked up from the cord that was connected to their equipment. Five weeks after the service I scheduled an appointment for Dante to come back out on a Monday. Dante mentioned that he will be in Pearland that day, and I didn’t want him to have to go out of his way for warranty work. After two failed attempts to reach him via text, per his request, Monday Late afternoon, I decided to call their number. Shortly after leaving a voicemail on the number I texted, he calls back. Dante mentioned that he never got my text regarding the appointment he confirmed that he would make. At this time I was starting to grow a little frustrated, but accidents happen, so no problem. Dante confirms that he will be at my house between 5-6pm on Wednesday, great! Well, by the time 7:30 rolls around on Wednesday, with a few failed attempts to make contact, I determined that he is not showing up. Since the two appointments that Dante avoided had passed, both my wife and I had made attempts to contact them, without success. Now after we paid $1300 for 3 hours of work, we have to figure out how to fix the problems that Elite Cleaning Squad has created for us. Since our problems with Elite, we had contacted 3 companies to quote us for repairing the mess that Elite left behind. Two very well know company’s would not even touch our tile after Elite did their damage. We finally found a company that would address these issues, and the expense to repair what Elite left behind was $2300. This new company had to apply 3 layers of stripper to remove the products incorrectly used by Elite Cleaning Squad. This company is one to AVOID AT ALL COST. Be sure that you don’t pay cash if you do get tricked into their overpriced services. If you need any follow up work, they will avoid you like they avoid giving receipts with undocumented cash transactions.
I have been familiar with carpet cleaning since I worked for one in the past. I used Elite Cleaning Squad and they were excellent. Their machines are truck mounted which is more powerful than portables. I am getting ready to call them again for another room. I was so pleased they took out stains I didn't think would come out since I have dogs and how little people wipe their feet before entering your home. I will definitely recommend them since they took quality time to make sure I was pleased with their work. My carpet looks like new again. You would love them! It is hard to find a carpet cleaning company that would do superb work and using the proper chemicals. I wouldn't use anyone else only Elite Cleaning Squad because they are trustworthy.
